Our staff:
Dr. Richard Gutsin is a board-certified physician, specializing in family medicine. He is a member of the American Academy of Family Practitioners, American Board of Family Medicine, and the Pender County Medical Society. He has been practicing in Wilmington since 1995. His thoughtful, friendly and caring demeanor creates an open and encouraging relationship between physician and patient.
Our nurse, Rosalind, has been with Magnolia Family Medicine since 2004. She is one of the most reliable and caring medical assistants you will ever have involved in your care .
Suzi is the all-around, get-it-done person involved in every phase of the practice. She has played an active role with the company since the year we opened in 2000 and we are grateful for her attention to detail.
Our office manager/billing manager, Staci, has been with us since 2003. She is the poor soul who gets stuck with insurance, billing and general office issues. She manages to keep a jovial attitude while managing these difficult tasks.
Melanie is the friendly voice who greets you by phone and the friendly face who meets you when you check in. Since joining the company in 2007, her bright smile and enthusiasm has added great joy to our Magnolia family.
Continuing Education:
Did you know that only 60% of family physicians are board certified? As a board-certified physician, Dr. Gutsin has committed to obtaining a minimum of 50 credits a year so that he may learn about the newest treatment options and medications available to help take better care of you. Recent and upcoming conferences include The Diamond Headache Institute, Managing Otitis Media, Pain Management and ADHD Bipolar Disorder in Kids. It’s good to go to a doctor who still believes in continual learning and who is constantly looking for ways to better understand the patient.
